Internship offer in Artificial Intelligence - Bac+5: machine learning for weather forecasting
This internship is part of the ANR SAPHiR project and proposes to develop new methods for predicting rare and extreme weather events at high spatial and temporal resolution. In this context, two complementary missions are envisaged: the first oriented data analysis and Machine Learning (ML), and the second oriented software engineering:
- Develop computer codes to predict environmental time series, based on Deep Learning techniques and architectures. The intern will also participate in the analysis and management of the heterogeneous data necessary for the project: historical data, data from sensors, SAETTA Lidar data, satellite images, etc.
- Create a Web/mobile application (multi-platform such as Flutter) for the general public visualization of data and simulation results. The trainee will participate in the reflection of the SAPHiR architecture's information system: continuous deployment, structuring of codes, etc.
Skills: Web/Mobile development - Data analysis - Machine Learning - Python - Version manager - autonomy - interest in research and teamwork.
